Iridology assesses the health of an individual from information presented in the iris of their eyes. Each individual organ’s health, as well as that of the body as a whole, displays on the iris via the optic nerve. The brain, being actively connected to the whole body as the central nervous system, essentially registers and transmits the “vitals” through the eyes.
The health of each organ can be determined when there are markings that relate to that organ on the chart. There are levels or degrees of degeneration seen in any given organ. Infection, pain and inflammation, which are all acute, are seen as white, raised iris fibres. Darkness, from grey to black, represent levels of chronic degeneration which can be inherited at birth. The degree of weakness and degeneration overall becomes our constitution. This darkening appears as a result of separations in the iris fibres, where black is a hole down to the base layer of the iris.
These markings, called furrows or lacunae, relate to the organs that corresponds to their placement on the charts of Iridology. Other signs can indicate the health of an organ in particular. For example, brown markings tend to relate to the liver. Yellow relates to kidneys, orange to the pancreas, and white to acid and inflammation, as well as the lymph.
When there is a darkening in the iris fibre it represents a lack of nerve and blood supply to that organ. A person can have many such weaknesses, indicating a compromise in the overall health of the body. health is about balance and balance requires each organ be functioning in support of the body. When an organ is under functioning(hypo), or over functioning(hyper), this can be seen through Iridology.
Other signs help assess the health of the circulatory, lymphatic and digestive system. Iridology can see arterial plaque which appears at the outer most zone of the iris as an opaque overlay. Mental fogginess which is associated with plaque in the brain(dementia), can be seen as a foggy layer over the brain area of the chart. A blue ring around the iris indicates low tissue oxygen and relates to the circulatory system and hemoglobin. Quite often these signs are present years before any diagnosis can be made by conventional means.
Bowel pockets can be seen in the digestive zone of the eye. As well, the effects of digestive insufficiency can be seen on the rest of the body. In this way, health conditions can be traced to their root cause.
